Quick Connection for Detachable Straps and Accessories

The Zinc Alloy Snap Hook uses a die-cast body and a spring-loaded gate for quick connection and removal. It is suitable for detachable shoulder straps, handbag hooks, backpack accessories, identification straps, key rings, pet products, and small tool attachments.

The main body can be made from Zamak 3, Zamak 5, or an equivalent zinc alloy. Die casting supports streamlined, geometric, and customized shapes with clear visual details.

This product is suitable for bag collections that require coordinated hardware colors, consistent surface appearance, or a recognizable custom shape.

The spring gate can be opened with one hand, allowing a strap or accessory to be installed and removed without permanently opening the other connection components.

Size, Opening, and Load Considerations

The total product length ranges from 25 mm to 100 mm. The hook opening ranges from 5 mm to 15 mm.

The hook opening should be large enough to pass through the intended D-ring or round ring. At the same time, excessive clearance between the hook and the connecting ring should be avoided because it may cause movement or noise during use.

The spring gate, pivot, and base of the hook are the main load-bearing areas. For continuous load applications, the complete product should be evaluated through tensile and opening-cycle tests.

The reference static tensile load is 300–1,500 N. The reference salt spray time is 24–96 hours. These are reference ranges rather than guaranteed values for every specification. Actual performance depends on the dimensions, body structure, alloy, pivot assembly, and surface treatment.

The independent research and development team can improve an existing item or support the development of a new structure. Samples are available before volume production.

Laser-logo work and length adjustments to an existing model normally take approximately 2–3 days. Packaging samples normally take around one week. Development time for a new structure depends on product complexity.

Regular samples do not require a sample fee, while shipping costs are paid by the buyer.

Available surface colors include nickel, gunmetal, black, and gold. The finish can be coordinated with other hardware used on the same bag or accessory.

Quality inspection covers die-cast dimensions, spring-gate return, pivot assembly, hook closure, and surface appearance.

After surface treatment, the components undergo incoming inspection. Process inspections are performed during production. Each finished Zinc Alloy Snap Hook receives a complete inspection before packaging, followed by a final sampling check for quantity and packaging condition.

For approximately 10,000 standard pieces, the normal lead time is around 25 days. Customized orders above 5,000 pieces normally require 30–35 days when mold-making time is not included.
