Flexible Cable Locking for Zippers and Small Openings

The Combination Luggage Cable Lock is a three-digit lock developed for luggage, backpacks, storage lockers, and other light security applications. It uses a flexible steel cable instead of a traditional rigid shackle.

The cable has an approximate diameter of 3.0 mm. It is made from carbon steel and covered with PVC. Its slim and flexible structure allows it to pass through zipper holes, zipper pulls, and other small connection points.

For luggage or backpack use, the cable can pass through two zipper pulls before the lock is closed. This helps reduce the risk of the zipper being opened casually. The product may also be used with changing-room lockers, storage cabinets, or other items that have a suitable small opening.

The three-digit combination structure removes the need to carry a separate key. It is suitable for travel, daily storage, and public storage environments.

Developed Mainly for Custom and ODM Projects

This product is mainly positioned as a customer-customized item with ODM development support. The product solution can be adjusted according to luggage construction, intended use, appearance requirements, and purchasing position.

Before development, buyers should confirm the required cable length, lock-body appearance, combination structure, surface finish, intended user, and packaging method. These details affect the final product structure and appearance.

Different surface treatments may be selected to coordinate with luggage colors, brand styling, and the intended product position. The Combination Luggage Cable Lock can therefore be developed as an individual travel accessory or as a matching lock for a specific luggage series.

Because the product is customized, an actual luggage sample, lock prototype, or detailed technical drawing can help the factory evaluate the required cable connection and product structure.

Before volume production, samples can be arranged to confirm the cable connection method, combination operation, product appearance, and compatibility with the intended luggage.

The sampling period for a newly developed item depends on the structural complexity. A custom packaging sample normally takes around one week.

When customized packaging is required, the usual minimum order quantity is 1,000–2,000 pieces. Different colors or models may be mixed in the same order when production conditions allow. A larger number of colors must be evaluated according to the actual finishing and production arrangement.

Quality control covers cable dimensions, PVC coating appearance, combination-wheel movement, code-setting and opening functions, lock-body connection strength, and overall assembly quality.

Specifications are checked after raw material processing. Surface-treated parts are inspected when they return to the factory. Process inspections are carried out during production, and each finished unit is checked before packaging.

For a customized order of more than 5,000 pieces, the usual production period is 30–35 days when mold-making time is not included. Progress photos can be provided when production is scheduled, when the first finished pieces are available, during mid-production, and after packaging.

The Combination Luggage Cable Lock can be packed in inner boxes and outer cartons. Stretch film may be added when pallet transportation is required to support long-distance delivery and volume shipment.
